The first steps in the building process of owning a log home is the purchase of land that is permitted for building and the setting of the budget by establishing pre qualifiing terms.

Getting Started

Initial appointments with our representative are generally spent reviewing the selection of standards offered by MCLH and exploring custom design options.  We then collaboratively begin work on specific requirements of the home you envision.  It may take several conversations to prepare your home design for the Preliminary floor plan drawing.

First Look

When the specifications of the design reflect your wishes, the design concept will be converted into Preliminary floor plans and estimated for cost.  Preparation of Preliminary plans takes about 2-3 weeks.

Considering Changes

The Preliminary floor plan stage is a very important phase of the design process.  Our team works closely  with the customer during this period to assure a complete understanding of the plans.  After the client has reviewed the plans, they are returned to our drafting group with requested revisions and estimate adjustments or signed for approval to go to the next phase.  We work with clients through the preliminary plan stage at no cost.  We require a deposit to proceed from here to complete plans.

Technical Advise

The MCLH building Systems Advisor  is available to confer with you and your contractor / builder.  This is the time to be sure that all parties fully understand the construction technicalities.

Engineering

Following a deposit, Full sets of plans are completed for the project and forwarded to our engineer for stamping if required by your municipality.

Scheduling Production

When Full set plans are finished, a 6 week lead time for production is initiated.  At this point, we require a 30% deposit of the total package price, this assures the client projected dates for production and delivery.
